The veto is revenging

“ Russia and China have used the right of veto  on Saturday at the UN Security Council against the draft resolution that condemns the bloody repression in Syria, while the other thirteen countries at the Security Council have voted in favor of the draft resolution which was presented by the Europeans and the Arabs, and which supports the plan of the Arab League to solve the crisis in Syria and to condemn the violations, but Russia and China have repeated the rare double veto which they have used before against a resolution concerning Syria on the fifth of October”.   (International agencies –February 2012).

“Yesterday the Security Council has held a session for voting on the draft of the Arab – Western resolution to approve the plan of the Arab League which calls for the departure of the Syrian President and granting his powers to his vice president, the text of the draft resolution has pointed out at the adoption the work plan of the League and the successive issued resolutions including the resolution which aims to reach for a peaceful solution of the crisis. The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon has denounced the Russian Chinese veto, considering that it “undermines “ the United Nations. Ban Ki-Moon has showed his “Great regret” toward the failure of the Security Council in reaching to an agreement on a resolution about Syria”.  (International agencies – February 2012 ).

On the 18^th of December, 2015 and after four years of attempts to issue a resolution by the Security Council about Syria,  a UN resolution has been issued unanimously, it is the first resolution after a war that witnessed the arrival of the American fleets to the Syrian shores, and a military strategic subsequent positioning of Russia on the lands, in the spaces, and  in the Syrian regional water, it witnessed as well a citation of tens of thousands of Al-Qaeda fighters from all over the world to overthrow the Syrian President whose his overthrowing was difficult  by a resolution from the  UN Security Council four years ago..

Explicitly the resolution 2254 states that the future of Syria and the institutions of the Syrian country are determined by the Syrians themselves, this speech is not loose and is not able to be interpreted because it came as a response of the draft which was presented by the Arab League and was supported by all the Western countries, and has got the votes of thirteen members out of fifteen of the Security Council, but the dual Russian Chinese veto has failed it, and those who say that non Arabs will decide are Arabs or foreigners.

The Syrians as all the nations will determine through the ballot boxes as the decision has stated, and if they did not show at the ballot boxes what they decide then no one will have the right to talk about the position of the Syrian President in the Syrian political solution or about the war on terrorism, but only as a fanfare as long as he announces his support of the new UN resolution.

Russia and China have won and have regained the votes of the Security Council unanimously on the text that responds to what they have voted for four years ago, it is not important if this resolution will lead to a political solution in Syria, it is enough that it buried the desperate Arab project which was presented by the triplicate Saud Al-Faisal, Hamad, Bin Jasim, and Nabil Al-Arabi before four years to remove the Syrian President by the strength of the foreign intervention, it is enough that it buried the innovation of the transitional governing body which was mentioned in Genève Statement in favor of a unified Syrian government under the current Constitution which includes in its ranks those who contribute in the political process under the presidency of the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad. Whether this has got the satisfaction of Adel Al-Jubeir, Philip Hammond, Laurent Fabius or not, they have the right of wailing and lamentation whenever they want, and have the right of disabling the political solution which does not appeal to them, but they no longer claim that they talk about an international legitimacy.

Russia and China have won, along with Syria..The veto is revenging.
