Khalid Alwan : The Aesthetical attendance & the science of abbreviation

The martyrs are equal in greatness whatever were the conditions of their martyrdom, and the battles through which they ascend martyrs, but the martyrdom of some have special meanings and connotations in the time, place and context that make out of their martyrdom a platform to extract the intensive meanings and the historical lessons, and important stations that the nations must not ignore. Among these martyrdoms the martyrdom of the national leader Khalid Alwan who became a martyr on September 24 in the year 1982 after implementing the process of Webi café in Hamra Street in Beirut after the deployment of the occupation troops in the Lebanese capital within hours, and the haunting of a number of its officials and soldiers to the cafes of the famous  Hamra street, as a message they wanted to say to the world that they are wandering in the second Arab capital which has fallen at their hands after Jerusalem, since there is nothing and no one who can impose on the undefeated army to live a state of war.

In such cases the whole nation becomes in the scale pan of its existential balance, but it is a nation that has lost its armies, capacities, the decision-makers in it, and who was left alive in it was surrounded, alone, or attritional as the situation of Syria and its army on those days between the two wars of Israel and Saudi Arabia and among them the Muslim Brotherhood in a way that is similar to today’s situation. The nation was searching for who can abbreviates it, possesses its will, revenges, expresses its feeling of shame and as abandonment, so he can remove the shame and heals the wounds of its heart, tells it that the wombs of mothers still bear men. Lebanon was sad,  and Beirut the noisy city was in confusion and deviation, between those who want the history to  record according to the equations that the impossibility of resistance, and the scene of the ladies who drink champagne with the occupation soldiers and dance for them in front of their tanks, and the definition of the Cedar homeland  as a entrainment place for every comer, even if some have called it the souk of prostitutes as some of the Bedouins like to summarize his identity with this characteristic. On the contrary there are men and women who have agreed not to leave Lebanon a path or a headquarter of the occupier, adhering from their different ideological positions to the equation of the  power of Lebanon through its resistance and not through its weakness, but all of this alternation between the supposed identities of Lebanon was in need of  those who can abbreviate the meaning of homeland, the parties which are abbreviating powerful vigorous energies and minds that are not underestimated or insulted in a state of confusion and frustration between the politics and the resistance or a combination between them, and the great ideologies in a state of calmness and amazement. Everyone is in need of someone who awakens the hearts and the minds and to take their place in the conflict through which the ideologies have ushered and for which the parties have been established, the proceeding ranks between the ideologies and the parties in defense for their sanctities are a high example in their nations and their homelands, the party was waiting, and the ideology was waiting for the science of abbreviation and who will bear the responsibly of implementation.

The nations, ideologies, parties ,and countries pass through historic moments, through which all the matters are losing their meanings if the identity does not turn into an action, an convulsing action that reforming the matters, and leaving indelible mark, so the history turns and has a new path out of respect and an submission of a will. The will here is the action-makers and this is what the historians call the revolutionary action which changes the course of history, and what the sociologists call as the rare exceptional role of the individual in history. All the history will stop at a moment it is the moment around which the clockwise of a man or a woman revolves, ordinary people, who proceed, ambuscade, rush, puff, take a rest, but the history would stopped to wait for them, is not paying attention to anything else at this moment and what is going around it of major events, such as super powers summits, movement of the armies, and spending for balances. The date and the history are related with the simple watch of this simple human being, here the fate of people, their rank, their characteristics change, while the other great people are missed from the waiting lists whereas the president of the superpower is no longer great, the great commander of the army has no place among the greatest, neither the owner of the money, nor the genius of poetry and prose, nor the inventors of medicines nor the innovators of the cooling and heating devices, astronauts, nor the owners of the records in Guinness, so everything which is great is losing its prestige in front of the anticipated event, moreover all the greatness of the good and bad people becomes ordinary acts because the most greatest thing will happen now since it is under birth by a great man who writes a new mathematical equation. Therefore concerning the knowledge of place, the road map becomes narrow and smaller till it summarizes Lebanon, as if the history is playing on Google maps with zooming in and zooming out. Lebanon becomes narrow, Beirut is abbreviated, all of Beirut is evoked in Hamra Street which its name becomes Webi Café, the whole place in Webi Café becomes a square feet of distance abbreviated in one man, the size of the standing man and the distance are abbreviated in a gun nozzle which the man will pull in a heartbeat and everything will be over.

At this moment, in this place, within this greatness Khalid Alwan has written his poem and drawn his map, he ended the engagement with the simple indicators of  a watch, recording with the name of his party, his ideology, his city, his homeland and his nation the march of the coming years; O occupiers you are not in a picnic, your departing-hour has knocked from now, I am Khalid Alwan the son of the national ideology and the righteous son of Beirut announce the birth of the resistance phase.

will go on challenging, and if I am sure of the loss I will go on in conciliation, in any case this initiative will have a big effect in meeting the presidential demand on which the forces which support the uprising meet, either which have good intentions and which believe in the relativity and consider it a key for the solution and reform, or the forces which have bad intentions which raise the slogan of relativity formally and aim to embarrassing, so the country will be invited to an electoral workshop where the activists of the uprising must apply it at the ballots not in the arenas to show their legitimacy before suffering from the reactions which they direct against the current parliament after the elections. It is enough to imagine the announcement of the conciliation on the law of relativity according to the table of dialogue, and the magic effect which will cause to the country whether the law is approved and the parliamentary elections have taken place before the presidential elections or after them.
